Orange AFCONGoogle has announced that its online video service, YouTube will be broadcasting the opening ceremony of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2013 scheduled for Saturday 19 January in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Through an official AFCON 2013 dedicated channel on Youtube, football fans all over Africa and around the world with Internet access can watch the live-stream of the competition’s opening ceremony and match highlights.

The channel currently has over 6,500 subscribers and over 3.5 million video views of African football content. Followed by more than 6 billion TV viewers worldwide, the Orange Africa Cup of Nations is the biggest African sporting event.

It is expected that millions of people would be watching the AFCON 2013 opening ceremony via this dedicated Youtube channel.
