Ghana has a strong and growing community of world class technology innovators and entrepreneurs, who have come up with alternative ways to create wealth online than by accepting online payments for their services and products through Paypal. As Paypal does not do business with any Ghana based entity, in this post, I will share 5 alternatives to Paypal Ghana. is a payment gateway service provider allowing merchants to accept credit card and electronic checks payments through their Web site and over an IP (Internet Protocol) connection. Authorize.Net claims a user base of over 305,000 merchants, which would make them the Internet’s largest payment gateway service provider.

Amazon Payments: is a wholly owned subsidiary of that provides a means to process transactions online. Launched in 2007, Amazon Payments uses the consumer base of and focuses on giving users the same checkout experience available on Amazon Payments has several products for consumers, businesses, and developers.

Google Checkout: is an online payment processing service provided by Google aimed at simplifying the process of paying for online purchases. Users store their credit or debit card and shipping information in their Google Account, so that they can purchase at participating stores by clicking an on-screen button. Google Checkout provides fraud protection and a unified page for tracking purchases and their status.

Adyen: is a Payment Service Provider (PSP) offering outsourced payment and fraud control services for the mid-corporate to enterprise market. Its services include payment processing, payment routing, real-time fraud control and full reconciliation.
